Friends of The Library

The Friends of the Manistee County Library have been dedicated fundraisers to support special library projects outside of our annual budget for many years. Our  volunteers are committed to fostering a love for the Library in our community.

We are fortunate that the Friends have been the main supporter of the Children’s Summer Reading Programs, that serve the whole of Manistee County, to help support literacy and advancement during the summer months.  They also provide the library with the funds to distribute free books during the winter holiday season, as well as decorate our Manistee Main building in time for Sleighbell Weekend.

You can join the group at different membership levels. Membership forms are available at the library or here on the website.  For more information, message the Friends of Manistee County Library on their Facebook.

Book Sales

Book sale proceeds help us provide support back to the Library for programs and projects that make the library a valued community resource. You can always find a selection of books for sale near the Circulation Desk at the Manistee Main Branch, as well as at select other branches dependent on space. Look for advertising for our larger book sale events!
