Oct 19 – Nov 28, Manistee Main Library
Manistee County Library is celebrating Old Time Christmas Weekend the 2nd Annual Holiday Book Nook Show. Artists. Crafters and holiday enthusiasts of all ages are invited to enter.
Book nooks are models or dioramas that fit on a book shelf. You can craft a model using any supplies you might like to use. The book nook should recreate a scene from your favorite holiday story/book, movie or song. Book nooks can be created by teams, families, pairs or individual artists. Registration is required, and only boxes supplied by the library are permitted for entry.
After you turn in your book nook, our team of elves will attach mini fairy lights to your entry so it will be extra merry during Old Christmas Weekend — Friday, December 4 & Saturday, December 5.
All book nooks will be on display during Old Christmas Weekend. The public can tour the show during library business hours and vote for their favorite book nook. Best in show will be awarded a $100 gift card to Meijer.
